The company announced that its U.S. Customer Support repair station network has successfully met compliance requirements for the Federal Aviation Authority’s (FAA) Safety Management System Voluntary Program (SMSVP)—well ahead of the December 31 deadline.
This milestone ensures enhanced and consistently aligned safety and quality control standards across Gulfstream’s expansive Customer Support network, reinforcing the company’s long-standing commitment to operational excellence.
Why This Matters
Earlier this year, the U.S.-E.U. Bilateral Oversight Board mandated that U.S.-based repair stations holding a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 certificate adopt a safety management system (SMS) as outlined in the SMSVP. Recognized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), SMSVP represents a global benchmark for aviation safety.
By achieving compliance early, Gulfstream demonstrates not only regulatory readiness but also leadership in advancing industry-wide safety practices.

The SMSVP has now been fully integrated across Gulfstream’s U.S. repair station facilities, including:
- Mesa, Arizona
- Long Beach and Van Nuys, California
- Palm Beach, Florida
- Savannah and Brunswick, Georgia
- Westfield, Massachusetts
- St. Louis, Missouri
- Appleton, Wisconsin
- Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas
Additionally, Gulfstream’s repair and overhaul centers in Lincoln, California, and Fort Worth have adopted the program.
