Hong Kong Airlines Once Again Recognized as a Family-Friendly Employer

Hong Kong Airlines is recognized as a “Family-Friendly Employer” for two rounds.

Hong Kong Airlines is recognized as a “Family-Friendly Employer” again in the “2015/16 Family-Friendly Employer Award Scheme” and also garnered a special mentioning for being a family-friendly employer in two rounds of the award scheme.

Hong Kong Airlines values work-family balance of all of its staff and introduces a series of family-friendly employee initiatives including birthday leave, graduation leave, examination leave and discount airfares for staff and family members. The Company also cares about its staff’s parent-child relationship and organizes activities such as Junior Program for their children to visit the aircraft and understand the work of their parents and the aviation operation.

Launched in 2011 by the Family Council and the Home Affairs Bureau, the biennial “Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme” aims to recognise the employers who uphold the family-friendly spirit, and encourage employers to continue to put in place family-friendly practices and measures, so as to raise their awareness of the importance of family core values, and foster a pro-family culture and environment.
