China Airlines Claims Top Mindshare in Management Magazine Consumer Brand Survey.
China Airlines has won first place in the airline category of Management Magazine’s 2014 Consumer Brand Survey. This is the fifth consecutive year China Airlines has won this award and comes on the heels of other leading brand awards: Most Influential Aviation Brand in Manager Today magazines Power Brands survey, Top Aviation Brand in 30 magazine¡¦s Young Generation Brand Survey, Gold Trusted Brand Award in the Readers Digest Trusted Brands Survey, and first place in the international airline category of Global Views magazines Service Excellence Awards. These five accolades are a testament to China Airlines¡¦ leading position in Taiwans airline industry.
Since 1984, Management Magazine has been conducting an annual brand survey based on unaided recall to determine consumers top-of-mind brands within a given product category. This year, Management Magazine surveyed 1,200 consumers aged 26 and over across northern, central, and southern Taiwan. The survey has a 95% confidence interval and sampling error of 3%. China Airlines won first place in the surveys airline category by achieving the highest consumer mindshare of 41.8%.
China Airlines Customer First philosophy has not only become a service industry benchmark, it has also made an indelible impression on consumers. Since last year, China Airlines mindshare has grown by 0.7% as Taiwanese travelers take note of its continuous service enhancements. While China Airlines consistently over-delivers on service, it is also making hardware enhancements by upgrading its fleet. Between March and May of this year, China Airlines introduced three brand new B737-800 aircraft, and on December 3 it took delivery of a new A330-300 aircraft. China Airlines will introduce 10 B777-300ER aircraft starting in 2014 and 14 A350-900 aircraft starting in 2016.
In other accolades this year, China Airlines won first place in the transportation category of Business Next magazines Green Brand Survey as well as its Super Green grand jury prize; the Green Classics Award and National Standardization Award from Taiwans Ministry of Economic Affairs; the Enterprise Environmental Protection Award from the EPA; fourth place in Global Traveler magazines Best International First Class Wines on the Wings; and the International Trophy for the 22nd time at the Rose Parade held in Los Angeles.
