Australian counter-drone technology company DroneShield has announced a significant $5.2 million contract with a European military customer, reinforcing its growing presence in the global defense market.

Expanding European Footprint

The deal was facilitated through a trusted in-country European reseller, which has worked with DroneShield for the past three years. Under the agreement, the reseller is contractually required to distribute the systems to the military end-user. This long-standing partnership has already generated more than $70 million in contracts for DroneShield, excluding the latest order.

What the Contract Covers

The contract includes the supply of handheld counter-drone systems and associated accessories. DroneShield confirmed that all hardware is already in stock, enabling immediate delivery. Importantly, the company will receive cash payment in Q4 2025, with no additional material conditions required.

Strategic Importance

This latest win highlights DroneShield’s ability to deliver rapid, scalable solutions to military customers worldwide. Counter-drone technology has become increasingly vital as unmanned aerial systems (UAS) proliferate across both civilian and defense sectors. DroneShield’s handheld systems are designed to provide flexible, on-the-ground protection against hostile drones, making them particularly valuable for frontline operations.

Trusted Partnerships

DroneShield emphasized the importance of its European reseller relationship, noting that the partner has been a vetted counterparty for several years. This continuity ensures reliability in delivery and strengthens DroneShield’s credibility in the European defense market.

Looking Ahead

With this contract, DroneShield continues to expand its global footprint, positioning itself as a leader in counter-UAS technology. The company’s ability to secure repeat orders from established partners demonstrates both the effectiveness of its systems and the growing demand for drone defense solutions worldwide.

DroneShield’s $5.2M European contract underscores its rising role in global defense, delivering handheld counter-drone systems that meet urgent military needs with speed and reliability.
